In fall 2021, Jackie Krisch began to teach The Prophetess to a mixed group of 9 students, both male and female, ranging from 14-18 years old, in-person once a week, at Ohr Kodesh Synagogue of Silver Spring Maryland. Throughout the 2021-2022 academic school year, she taught lessons using The Prophetess as a springboard for discussing Jewish mysticism, social dilemmas, social-emotional concepts, life transitions, and religious observance. Lessons learned, resources created, and sample lesson plans that were most effective are included.
